Born and raised in the dynamic city of Hong Kong, I draw inspiration from my diverse surroundings and the ever-evolving political landscape. With a Higher Diploma in Art Communication from Hong Kong Design Institute and a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Coventry University (UK), my artistic practice encompasses a fusion of satire, impressionism, and pop art.
My multimedia works are a vibrant amalgamation of watercolour, ink, acrylic, and digital media. They explore the political issues in Hong Kong and China, depict the intricate landscapes of Hong Kong, and question broader international societal norms.
Through satire, I provoke dialogue around pressing political concerns, employing sharp wit and visual commentary. My impressionist landscapes capture Hong Kong’s natural beauty and urban vibrancy, offering viewers a serene escape into familiar yet ever-changing scenery.
In my pop art digital creations, I blend modern aesthetics with critical perspectives, challenging viewers to reconsider societal expectations and cultural phenomena. Each style serves a distinct purpose: satire critiques political realities, impressionism celebrates natural and urban beauty, and pop art critiques and recontextualizes modern culture.
Beyond painting and drawing, I create handcrafted dioramas, miniatures, and custom model cars. These works highlight both my technical skill and socio-political realities, bringing detailed street views and scenes to life, blurring the line between reality and illusion.
As a painting and drawing teacher, I am dedicated to nurturing the next generation of artists, encouraging them to explore their creativity and develop their unique voices.
